This Privacy Policy explains how eUFO ("the App") handles your information. eUFO is a macOS productivity app built on a privacy-first philosophy — which means we designed the App to work entirely without collecting your personal data.
eUFO is developed by a solo independent developer. There is no company, no marketing team, and no advertising platform behind this App. This policy is straightforward because our data practices are straightforward.
Data We Don't Collect
eUFO does not collect any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Your tasks, notes, Pomodoro sessions, or productivity data
- Your financial records or expense entries
- Your health reminders or exercise logs
- Your device's location, contacts, or calendar
- Usage analytics, session durations, or feature interactions
- Crash logs or diagnostic data sent to external servers
No data from within the App is ever transmitted to any server, third party, or cloud service.
Local Data Storage
All data you create in eUFO — tasks, Pomodoro history, project timelines, financial entries, notes, health reminders, and exercise records — is stored exclusively in your Mac's local file system using standard macOS data storage mechanisms.
This data is stored in your Mac's Application Support folder:
If you uninstall eUFO, your data files remain on your device — they are not deleted automatically. You can back up, move, or delete them manually at any time. Full License holders can also export data via the App's built-in export feature.
Purchase & Payment Data
If you purchase the Full License, payment is processed by our third-party payment provider (Gumroad). eUFO itself does not process or store any payment details, credit card numbers, or billing information.
When you make a purchase, the payment provider may collect:
- Your email address (for sending a license key and receipt)
- Payment method details (handled entirely by the payment provider)
- Your country, for tax compliance purposes
The developer only receives a notification that a purchase was completed and the associated email for support purposes. Please review the payment provider's own privacy policy for details on how they handle your payment data.
Donations
Voluntary donations are processed via eufo.shop/donate. The same privacy principles apply: eUFO itself does not process payment data — it is handled entirely by the payment processor.
If you choose to leave a message with your donation, that message may be read by the developer and, with your permission, displayed as a thank-you acknowledgement in the App's community or changelog. Your contact details are never published without explicit consent.
Donations are voluntary and entirely anonymous if you choose not to provide contact information during the donation process.
Analytics & Tracking
eUFO contains zero analytics, telemetry, or tracking code. The App does not use:
- Google Analytics or any web analytics service
- Crash reporting services (e.g. Sentry, Crashlytics)
- A/B testing or feature-flag platforms
- Advertising SDKs or tracking pixels
- Any background network requests for data collection
Third-Party Services
eUFO does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services as part of its core functionality. There are no cloud sync features, no social login, and no external API calls from within the App.
The only external services involved with eUFO are:
- Gumroad — payment processor for license purchases and donations. Subject to their own Privacy Policy.
- eufo.shop website — a static marketing website. Standard web server logs may record visit metadata per hosting provider policy.
Neither of these services has access to any data you create within the eUFO App itself.
Children's Privacy
eUFO does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. Since the App does not collect personal data from any user, it is compliant with children's privacy requirements by design.
eUFO is a general-purpose productivity tool suitable for users of all ages. Parents can feel confident that the App does not track, profile, or communicate data about their children to any external service.
Your Rights & Control
Because eUFO does not collect personal data, most traditional data rights (access, correction, deletion requests) are not applicable in the usual sense. However, you have complete control over your data:
- Access: Your data is in ~/Library/Application Support/eUFO/ — fully readable at any time
- Export: Full License holders can export all data via the built-in export tool
- Deletion: Uninstall the App and manually delete the data folder to remove all eUFO data from your device
- Portability: Exported data is in open formats (CSV, JSON) — use it anywhere
Changes to This Policy
The developer reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Significant changes may be communicated via the App or the project's community channels.
Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Since eUFO does not hold your contact information, we cannot notify you directly — please check this page periodically if you have concerns.
